Working responsibilities of Social Science Department

     The Social Science Department of SWU, formally established in July 2005, is an important function department responsible for the development plan, management and service of humanities and social science research. It firmly builds up such thought for university operation: takes discipline construction as the driving force, scientific research as support, and contingent building as guarantee. It persistently takes scientific research projects as base, key research base construction as focus, the enhancement of research achievements’ academic level and social benefit as aim, and the strengthening of academic exchange, network construction of data information and improvement of scientific research management as means to practise the service promises of “devotion, endeavor, and responsibility”. In all, our aim is to construct a harmonious humanistic environment, and constantly enhance the overall strength of SouthwestUniversity’s humanities and social science research.
